Il Portugieser di IWC nasce nel 1939, quando venne realizzato il Ref. 325 con un movimento da orologio da tasca e una cassa insolitamente grande. La linea è nota per il quadrante pulito e ordinato e si è ampliata fino a comprendere versioni complicate come il Perpetual Calendar del 2003. The Portugieser Automatic 42 in 18 ct White Gold with Horizon Blue dial polished to a high gloss, gold-plated hands and appliques, and a black alligator leather strap by Santoni.
