IWC Watchmakers service the Big Pilot's Watch (IW500401)

This Big Pilot’s Watch (Ref. IW500401) is over a decade old, and was last serviced six years ago. Over time, the watch has developed visible scratches on the case and clasp, and several wearing parts show signs of use and require replacement. The watch has been sent to Schaffhausen for a full service. The journey begins as IWC Technician Terézia Leu carefully disassembles all external components, preparing the watch for its meticulous restoration. Once separated, the case is handed over to IWC Goldsmith Luka Gjon, who applies precision laser welding to fill notches and dents.
