The Automatic 40 (Ref.IW328902) is powered by the IWC-manufactured 32111 calibre. This automatic movement consists of 164 components and is impressively rugged, reliable and precise. The use of an anti-magnetic silicon escapement improves its resistance to magnetic fields. Regardless of the rotor’s direction, the automatic pawl-winding system converts kinetic energy into potential energy for the mainspring and builds up a power reserve of at least 120 hours in the barrel.
