Sabrina Herzog takes movement shock protection to the next level. The IWC watchmaker meticulously assembles the Big Pilot’s Watch Shock Absorber XPL Toto Wolff x Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One™ Team featuring the patented SPRING-g PROTECT® shock absorber system, developed by IWC's engineering division XPL. This innovative cantilever spring design cushions the movement, absorbing g-forces of more than 30,000 g before they can cause damage. The spring, coated in the team's signature PETRONAS green Super-LumiNova®, is crafted from a bulk metallic glass (BMG) significantly more elastic than conventional crystalline metals.
